Catalyzing Open Science Norms & Policies

ORCA partners with public and private organizations to help align open science strategies with their missions and goals. Our support includes informational sessions, staff training, policy drafting and review, and other tailored assistance to help organizations develop, implement, and manage effective open science policies.

ORCA also recognizes the critical role that professional societies play in shaping disciplinary norms and values. We are pleased to collaborate with groups such as the Alliance for Data Science and AI (ADSA) and the Council of Graduate Departments of Psychology (COGDOP) to (a) articulate what it means to be a responsible actor within a given field and (b) translate those expectations into clear, discipline-specific standards for open sharing.
